Experience
My focus as a Spanish tutor is to develop a curriculum that addresses each individual student's particular needs and goals, and to keep them engaged and excited in the process. I am passionate about sharing Spanish with others because it is so important to enable communication between cultures. Having worked for 15 years in a variety of countries and settings in the pharmaceutical sector, I learned how to use communication to foster relationships, and I saw how truly important that skill is for everyone to develop. I gained experience as a tutor while studying accounting at the University of Puerto Rico. I formally tutored vocabulary, communication, and grammar, and I was involved in various educational projects. These experiences led to my desire to help others through teaching, and gave me the skills to do so. I keep my tutoring practice fresh as well as challenging by implementing technology, and by using a variety of techniques such as conversation, videos, and reading articles. I tutor Spanish levels 1-4. When not tutoring, I love to teach Spanish to my daughter so that she may learn about our family. I also practice photography, read, travel, and learn about and experience culture and education in other countries.
