I have tutored students at many levels and in many topic areas, but I prefer to assist students with math and science. I'm a great tutor for several reasons: subject knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to present information in a clear manner. I work on group projects in my engineering position so I have learned to communicate effectively. I've learned to express my ideas clearly so that they can be understood by people who are not engineers. Finally, I know how to solve problems by thinking in reverse, due to spending time as a grader of homework assignments. Showing students why a certain approach isn't correct is a good way to understand why a student is struggling. I need to understand the ways in which my students think and learn. All of these reasons, plus my passion for my subject area, illustrates why I'm a good tutor. I'm a good tutor to help you if you are seeking assistance in math subjects such as Algebra and Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, or Middle School Math. I can also assist with SAT test prep and the following topics: Computer Science, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering. In my free time, you will probably catch me playing a game of ultimate Frisbee.
