Experience
I attended Rowan University for my bachelor's degree in French. As an undergraduate, I had the opportunity to study in France as well. I've also taken courses from the College of New Jersey for English as a second language. My teaching and tutoring experience includes leading a program for elementary school students in foreign languages, as well as experience tutoring students individually in ESL and French. With ESL, I've taught students of all ages from different countries and backgrounds. I enjoy tutoring as it is the one-on-one approach, which allows me to focus on the student's learning obstacles and tailor my approach to their needs. When I tutor students, I create a comfortable and relaxed learning environment to encourage maximum efficacy. I also introduce interesting ideas and fun activities to keep students engaged. I feel language learning is powerful because it opens up opportunities allows students to communicate with more people. When I have free time, I like to play the guitar, participate in French club, and get out on the boat.
